It’s been a couple of weeks since the iAM Compliant team returned from BETT 2023 in London! We relished the opportunity to showcase our school estates and compliance tool to the industry once more, catch up with clients old and new, connect with suppliers and collaborators and meet educators from all over the world. It’s moments like this that you realise the passion and scale of learning and education globally.
BETT, if you don’t know, it’s a truly vast show. Seen as the world’s leading EdTech event and spanning across three days you can see why many believe it's the biggest week in global education.
Three days of expo, nine theatres across leadership, futures, inclusion, wellbeing, skills, innovation, key notes from leaders in education and global entrepreneurs like Professor Damian Hughes. Stephen Bartlett and Darcey Bussell. Oh, and I forgot to mention the prestigious BETT Awards that are held on the evening of the first day (we were shortlisted for two awards - but more on that later!)
If I had to sum up the event in one word (and I can’t use ‘tiring’) it would have to be ‘energy’ - there is a lot to see at BETT so you definitely need a plan and you definitely need energy. Most pleasing for me was the energy and enthusiasm of our community of schools using iAM Compliant. We had existing clients come from all over the UK to say hello to the team and learn about updates, ask for our advice or just say hello to our schools mentor and Co-Founder, Mr iAM Andy Ball.
I was joined at the event by our founder Luke Pargeter co-founder and schools mentor Andy Ball (the industry truly love this guy) and newest recruit to the iAM Compliant family Noah London, who looks after those schools wanting to learn more about what we do.
It’s clear to me that our industry want to continue to improve, whether that be in the classroom or at an operational level. Schools and educators on the whole want the best for their learners, whether that be the education they receive or the environment in which they receive it. So it was amazing to speak to CEOs, CFOs, COOs, School Business Managers, IT leads, Estates Managers of large MATs and single schools alike to discuss the challenges they face managing large estates with a myriad of compliance challenges. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate how iAM Compliant can help support them to ease the pressure, free up precious time and offer an affordable solution, no matter the size of the school or MAT.
All this talk of learning, improving, and achieving brings me nicely on to the BETT Awards part of the event, held on the first evening at the beautiful Brewery in the East End of London. This was our opportunity to put on our gladrags, shine our shoes and rub shoulders with the industry’s best, whilst enjoying a lovely meal and evening entertainment.
Incredibly, iAM were shortlisted for two awards:
What an honour it was to be shortlisted for these two awards, but even more incredible was that we were crowned winner of the prestigious Leadership & Management Solution Award 2023! It was an amazing moment. What an accolade to mark how far we’ve come! The award is testament to the team’s hard work, innovation and commitment to excellence. It also couldn’t have been done without the continued support and feedback from our amazing customers, so thank you from all of us here at iAM.
The highlight of a fantastic few days in London! See you there next year!
